My car broke down on Monday with the exact same problem that I thought had been fixed a year ago. Turns out the previous mechanic didn’t check something.
But all was not lost- when things like this happen I like to think of one of my favorite lines from Candide by Voltaire that says, “if you had not lost your sheep in the land of El Dorado, you would not be sitting here eating candied citron and pistachios.”
If my car hadn’t broken down I never would have seen this cool plant in my neighborhood.
